Whopee! So before I start school, I wanted to participate in another read-a-thon, because I enjoy the so much! This one is hosted by Incandescent Enchantments (: *excitement!*
Goals:
Here are the books I want to finish!
August 3 (Friday):

Taken by Tony Talbot - I got this for review a while ago, and now I definitely want to read it! It also qualifies for a challenge I'm participating in, and it's pretty short, so I can't wait to read it!
Unenchanted by Chanda Hahn - This is a Kindle freebie, and it sounds pretty epic. It's about a girl who's cursed to survive over two hundred fairy tales. I can't wait to see what happens! This also qualifies for the challenge, so that's great too(:
August 4 (Saturday):

The Waiting Game by J. L. Ficks - I'm participating in this book's blog tour with a review, and it looks like a fantasy read I would enjoy! It's about an assassin named Shade, so hopefully there's lots of mystery and action!
On Fallen Wings by Jamie McHenry - I got this book as a Kindle Free. It sounds okay, and I'm not sure if I would like it, but this is one of the only books I have which start with an O, which is part of my reading challenge. Only time will tell!
August 5 (Sunday):

Dragon's Teeth by Suzanne Van Rooyen - I also received this book as a review copy as part of a blog tour! It's a mystery, with a cyborg, and I'm assuming, fantasy, and it sounds pretty epic! Hopefully I'll enjoy this one :D
A Bed of Knives by Elizabeth Jasper - This one was described as a contemporary romance with an edge. I've actually heard some praise from some of my GR friends about it, so hopefully I'll like this book. I also got this book for review.
Day 1 Update:
I was actually able to get more reading done than I anticipated! I finished the following books:

Taken by Tony Talbot - This was a short mystery read that kind of reminded me of The Face on the Milk Carton! I definitely enjoyed it - you can find my review on GR here!
Unenchanted by Chanda Hahn - I was actually kind of disappointed with this book :/ A lot of the book focused on a cliche romance instead of fairy-tale, kick-ass action. You can find my review on GR here!
Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday - I bought this a while ago on a sale, and now I'm so glad I did! The heroine was hilarious, and I loved the mystery in it. You can find my review on GR here (:
I have also started the following books:

The Yellow Birds (pg. 51 / 192) by Kevin Powers - I received an ARC of this from the publisher, and seeing how short it was, I started to read it! I'm only on page 51, but I can already feel an attachment to some of the characters. I hope it's a great book!
On Fallen Wings (~ 38%) by Jamie McHenry - So far, this book isn't too exciting, although I know the conflict hasn't started yet. Hopefully it picks up!

Wow! You got a lot of reading done! Congrats! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks :D Hopefully I can keep this pace up!
